Cedral Weatherboarding: the ideal fix for a local builder
Brian Gibbs, a local independent builder has constructing five new houses in Winchelsea, East Sussex. They are located close to the sea so Brian wanted an alternative to conventional weatherboard as he was concerned about deterioration. Stamco Timber suggested Cedral Lap, a low maintenance, rot-free weatherboard.
Cedral is resistant to rot, immune to attack by pests and stands up to the harshest weather conditions, especially suitable for seaside locations. It’s available in 21 painted colours and 2 wood stain finishes.
As you can see from the photographs Cedral looks as good as conventional weatherboard and it will stay that way for many years with minimal maintenance.
Over many years Brian Gibbs has built an impressive range of properties. They include converting a 6000 sq.ft. barn into 2 dwellings and converting an oast house, used as a B&B, into a 9 bedroom hotel, all with en-suites.
Brian’s company was using another building materials supplier when Andy Garman from Stamco turned up on site and introduced himself. Andy enquired whether there was anything he could quote on. Andy’s prices were better than Brian’s existing supplier and so since that first quote Stamco supply pretty much everything Brian’s company needs including timber, bricks, blocks, insulation, ready-mix, tiles and plaster.
Asked why he uses Stamco Brian said: “The service Stamco provide is fantastic, Andy is very knowledgeable and advises us on the right products and ensures we get the best prices. Deliveries are always on time, which is very important as I don’t want my people standing around waiting for a delivery. I always get great service from Stamco’s trade counter and it’s good to talk to people who really understand the products they sell”.
